The Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPM] has announced the reconstitution of its Pathanamthitta district secretariat as part of its organizational restructuring and leadership renewal process. The newly formed district leadership includes several experienced party members, while former district leader Prayar Gopalakrishnan Padmakumar was not included in the revised committee. The decision was taken during the party’s organizational meetings aimed at strengthening its structure and preparing for future political and public activities.
According to party leaders, the reorganization is intended to improve coordination, enhance grassroots engagement, and bring greater efficiency to the district’s organizational activities. The newly appointed secretariat members have been entrusted with responsibilities related to party development, public outreach, and addressing local issues. Party officials stated that such restructuring is a routine organizational exercise carried out periodically to ensure effective leadership and better representation across the district.
