Cultural & Traditional Event

Aranmula Boat Race, also known as Aranmula Vallamkali, is one of the most celebrated traditional events in Pathanamthitta district. The event features beautifully decorated Palliyodams, or traditional snake boats, rowed by teams in synchronized rhythm along the Pamba River. Accompanied by traditional songs, rituals, and festive celebrations, the event showcases the rich cultural heritage and community traditions of Kerala.
