Pathanamthitta district achieved an impressive 96.87% turnout in the home voting process, reflecting the district’s strong commitment to ensuring inclusive and accessible elections. The home voting facility was introduced to assist senior citizens aged 85 years and above, as well as persons with disabilities (PwDs), enabling them to cast their votes from the comfort and safety of their homes. The initiative was carried out under the supervision of election officials, ensuring that every eligible voter had an equal opportunity to participate in the democratic process.
Special polling teams visited the residences of registered voters with all the necessary election materials while maintaining strict adherence to Election Commission guidelines. Each team consisted of polling officials, security personnel, and videography staff to ensure transparency, confidentiality, and fairness throughout the voting process.
